  • The course will enable instructors to give aircrew a full understanding of their role and responsibilities in relation to the security of their respective airport and its Security Restricted Area (SRA).

This course gives airport staff an increased awareness of security issues and the measures in place to counter
the threat to aviation

The aim of this modular training is to promote an awareness of the general security threat that exists at airports and on aircraft.

 

This course follows the guidelines set down by the UK DfT to ensure that all staff requiring unescorted access to Security Restricted Areas (SRA) or who transport air cargo/mail, or who have access to airport or in-flight supplies are aware of the security threat and measures in place at the airport where they will be working.

 

The course will familiarise trainees with the nature of the threat to aviation and the basic security measures in place to counter that threat and ensure that trainees understand the core objectives and organisation of aviation security and the part that they can play in contributing to the security of the airport.
